Hi BBU family!
We’re counting down the weeks to loops, dust and desert sunsets in Uis! Please let us know if you won’t be able to attend the race so we can offer someone else your place (with a refund to you). Here’s what you need to know this week as you get ready for BBU 2025:
Meal Tickets – Friday & Saturday Dinners
Meal ticket sales will close on Sunday, 20 July OR when capacity is reached.
Friday Night Welcome Dinner
Included for Ultra and Challenge runners
Menu: Pasta dish (vegetarian option available), salad & bread roll
Dinner will be served between 18:00 – 20:00. Please bring camping chairs – seating is limited!
Race briefing is at 19:30 – please join, even if you’re not having dinner with us!
Bring your own camp chair – limited seating available.
Fun Runners and supporters can buy extra meal tickets here → Closed
Cost: N$150 per ticket
Very limited number of Friday night tickets are available.
All tickets must be pre-booked and paid.
No dinner tickets will be on sale at the venue.
Saturday Night Braai Dinner
Menu: Braai plate with chop, boerewors, potato salad & garlic roll (no vegetarian option)
Cost: N$150 per ticketAll Saturday dinner tickets must be pre-booked and paid in full – space is limited. → Closed
After completing the form, upload your proof of payment to confirm your booking.
No tickets will be sold at the event.
Food & Supplies in Uis
Uis shop – Basic groceries (open Friday & Saturday morning)
Brandberg Rest Camp – Light lunch menu during normal hours (no dinner service)
Cactus and Coffee (Daureb Isib campsite) – Breakfast, lunch & early dinner
White Lady Café – Across from Brandberg Rest Camp, ready to welcome you!
Gear Reminder – Race Village Setup
Ultra runners, especially, are encouraged to bring a gazebo for their race village setup
No tents allowed in the race village – only gazebos, please
Gazebo space is limited, so sharing is encouraged
Bring chairs, shade, and gear for your comfort
No electricity at the race village. Limited plugs at the campsite only.
Come prepared with:
Power banks
Headlamps
Solar chargers
Showers: Limited hot water is available. Please stagger showering and shower after your run. There won’t be hot water around the clock!
